Money Transfers in Riverhead, NY

Send cash to family in Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Mexico, or anywhere else in the world. We work with several transfer companies at one counter, so you pick the best rate and your money gets home.

Sending money home shouldn't be a gamble

When you send part of a paycheck to your family, two things matter: the money arrives, and you don't lose a chunk of it to bad fees or a weak exchange rate. That's the whole reason people in Riverhead have been walking through our door since 1996.

We handle national and international transfers through several established companies, including Ria, Sigue, La Nacional, Vigo, and Intermex. Because we work with more than one, you're never stuck with whatever a single company happens to charge that day. Tell us where the money is going and how it should arrive, and we'll tell you which option puts the most in your family's hands.

Why send from our counter instead of an app?

  • Pay in cash. No bank account or debit card needed. Bring your cash and your ID and it's done.
  • Talk to a person. If the receiving name is spelled wrong or a pickup location changed, you have someone in front of you who fixes it, in English or Spanish.
  • Compare before you send. Fees and exchange rates vary by company and by country, and they change. We check the options for you at the counter.
  • Keep a paper receipt. Every transfer leaves with a receipt and tracking number in your pocket, so you can always show exactly what was sent, when, and to whom.

How it works

The process takes a few minutes once you're at the counter:

  1. Bring a valid photo ID and the cash you want to send.
  2. Give us the recipient's full name exactly as it appears on their ID, plus their city and country.
  3. We compare the companies available for that destination and you choose the one you want.
  4. You pay, we process it, and you walk out with a receipt and a tracking number your family can reference at pickup.

Depending on the company and the destination, many transfers are available for pickup quickly, often the same day. Your recipient collects the money at a local agent near them, usually in their own currency.

A counter Riverhead's families already trust

Most of our money transfer customers are regulars. They come in on payday, we already know where the money goes, and it's handled in minutes. That kind of routine only builds up around a business that gets it right week after week, year after year.

And because this is a true multiservice shop, one trip can cover more than the transfer. People top up a relative's phone in prepaid phone service, pay a utility bill through bill pay, or drop off a box for freight shipping to Guatemala or Ecuador on the same visit.

Common questions

What do I need to bring to send money?

A valid photo ID, the cash you're sending, and the recipient's full name and location. For larger amounts, the transfer company may require additional information, and we'll walk you through it.

How fast does the money arrive?

It depends on the company, the destination country, and how the recipient collects it. Many cash pickups become available quickly, often within the same day. We'll give you the expected timing before you pay.

Can my family receive the money in their local currency?

In most destinations, yes. Pickup is typically in local currency at the exchange rate quoted when you send. We'll show you the rate and the exact amount your recipient gets before anything is final.

What happens if there's a problem with a transfer?

Bring your receipt to the counter. Since we processed the transfer, we can contact the company directly, trace it with your tracking number, and get it resolved. You'll never be stuck on hold alone with a call center.
